There are worse ways to begin a five-day road trip than Champagne in Monaco with a touch of glamour.
We were delighted to be hosted by Zimmermann on the eve of our rally, a beautifully curated pause before engines turned over and the Riviera unfolded ahead. Set against the effortless beauty of Monaco, it was the perfect prelude to our journey west, tracing the coastal roads of southern France via the historic Route Napoléon, where scenery, stories, and sweeping tarmac converge.

Zimmermann and Verve Rally share a quiet alignment of values. A belief in thoughtful craftsmanship, uniqueness, an appreciation for beauty without excess, and a sense that experiences are best savoured rather than rushed. Both brands favour elegance over noise, detail over display, and moments that feel personal rather than performative.
Naturally, the setting called for attire to match.
The ladies enjoyed a relaxed afternoon of shopping, selecting day and evening dresses designed for Riviera lunches, golden-hour aperitifs, and candlelit dinners yet to come. Champagne flowed, canapés disappeared with impressive efficiency, and there was the familiar, good-natured debate over practicality versus glamour, which in Monaco tends to resolve itself firmly in favour of glamour.
It was convivial, civilised, and just indulgent enough.
As a starting line, it set the tone perfectly. A gentle reminder that this was not merely a drive, but an epic holiday on wheels. One where style matters, friendships form quickly, and the road ahead promises far more than simply getting from A to B.

Engines would wait until morning. For now, the Riviera had spoken, and we were listening.
Verve Rally collaborates closely with select luxury brands to create thoughtful moments of discovery for our Ververs. Past partnerships include Dior, Hästens, Sisley Paris, Perrier-Jouët and more.
